A private mountain retreat in the white villages of Málaga
The House
Nestled in the heart of Montejaque — a Moorish-style white village of just 900 souls — Casa Tiki is a charming three-storey townhouse of approximately 120 m², set within the Grazalema Natural Park. No cars, no noise; only the wind and birdsong.
Thanks to its southeast orientation the house is flooded with light throughout the day. Thick stone walls, warm wooden details, and a pellet stove ensure comfortable temperatures in every season — whether you come for a weekend or a longer retreat.
The real highlight is the rooftop terrace with its full 360° panoramic view of the surrounding sierra. In spring, the air carries the scent of blooming flowers; at dusk, the mountains glow amber. It is, quite simply, unforgettable.
Amenities & Spaces
A sun-drenched retreat above the village rooftops. Outdoor seating, a dining table, and 360° views of the Grazalema peaks. Perfect for sunrise coffee or candlelit suppers under the Milky Way.
A king master suite on the upper floor and two double rooms below, each dressed in natural linens, local artisan textiles, and the quiet of mountain air drifting through shuttered windows.
Year-round comfort: the pellet stove warms winter evenings while thick traditional stone walls keep the house naturally cool in summer. Cosy wooden details throughout.
Ground floor: living room with pellet stove, renovated kitchen, and en-suite bedroom. First floor: two bedrooms with mountain views and a bathroom. Second floor: the rooftop terrace — the crown of the house.
A recently renovated, fully equipped kitchen — everything you need for slow market mornings and long Andalusian lunches.
Step outside and follow ancient shepherds' paths into the limestone gorges. The Cueva del Gato — a river cave — is a short walk from the door. No car needed for a full day in nature.

The Experience
Montejaque is one of Andalucía's least-discovered white villages — real, unhurried, and surrounded by one of Europe's finest natural parks.
Getting Here
Montejaque sits within the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park — Europe's most bio-diverse protected landscape. The village is small, intimate, and perfectly positioned between coast and mountains.
A hire car is recommended for flexibility. The A-369 road winds beautifully through the limestone gorge — one of the finest drives in southern Spain.
The Surroundings
Step outside Casa Tiki and into one of Europe's most dramatic landscapes — limestone gorges, hidden river caves, white village streets, and mountain horizons in every direction.
Photos coming soon — these illustrations give a feel for the landscape. The real thing is even better.
Our Story
Two people. Two continents. One dream.
Karl was working in Kuwait, Kriszta in Budapest — but we both dreamed of a life filled with sunshine, blue skies, and the outdoors. That dream led us to a small, charming village in Andalucía, in Southern Spain.
The moment we discovered Montejaque, nestled in the heart of the Grazalema National Park, we fell completely in love. It didn't feel like coincidence — it felt like everything had aligned just as it was meant to.
When we both lost our jobs at the same time, we took it as a sign and made the leap. Montejaque became our home.
Casa Tiki is our way of sharing this special place with you — and a loving tribute to our beloved dog, Tiki.
Welcome to our dream.

We came for a week and left a piece of our hearts in those mountains. The rooftop at dawn, the silence, the stars — there is nowhere in Andalucía quite like this.— Isabelle & Marc, Paris · July 2026
